WHAT IS CLIL??

This is a video in Spanish to introduce you this topic. The first thing you will discover is that there in not a CLIL (AICLE en español) methodology, it is based on the principles you will see in this video. The second video of this series is about TICs that you can use.... I think this is not the purpose of this course.. but if you want to, I can introduce you some good TICs to use with your students (padlet is a good one!)
The second video is shorter than this one but it is probably more clear...

LET'S START WITH PHONETICS!!!

Do you know what phonetics is??? It is a code invented to make us easier to pronounce in a clear way. You do not have to speak without an accent but as you probably know, if you do not speak clearly enough, an anglo speaker will not undestand you....and this is not because they are bad people!! They speak in a way and write in another...and they won't understand you if you do not pronounce a "similar" sound....

First, do not confound phoneme with letter:
the sound /K/ is in "Coat", "Kitchen", "character", quick

You will see one video for each sound  ...then you will see their correspondence in writing. With the most difficult sounds I will send you exercises. The idea is to listen and repeat with the videos and then pronounce aloud the examples you will see in writing!!
Once we have seen all the sounds I will listen to you as you will record some sentences for me!!!! Easy Peasy!!

/p/, /b/
With these sounds, the biggest problem is when they appear in a final position,. Practice with the /p/

For the /b/ sound click here

/k/

To see the /k/  written possibilities click here

/g/ , be careful with this sound, specially at the end of the word!!!!

LET'S GET STARTED!!!
Great, I loved all your suggestions! I'll try to do my best!
We are going to work on class vocabulary this week: ready?
The idea is to see this presentation and take notes of how would you say these everyday expressions in your class. We are starting with "Smalll talk": how to break ice in class, and "Opening a subject"
I will first ask you in Spanish, you write down your solutions on a notebook and then I will give you the answers next week. "Easy peasy" and do not "cheat" using a dictionary or tranlslator....
Just have a look at the presentation and click on your top right to see each slide:
